BE POLITE

There’s nothing I hate more than rude people. When I’m home I work at a fast food place (not a fan, don’t recommend) and I hate how rude people are to me. I cannot stand it. I’m in college trying to have some money I shouldn’t have to deal with every other person’s problem because they aren’t my fault.

Today a lady started getting mad at me because we were out of barbeque sauce, “Are you kidding me? Is this a freaking joke? How do you run out of barbeque sauce?” I don’t know. I don’t freaking know. Do I look like the type of person that orders the sauces? No. That is not my job. My job is to hand you your food and move onto the next customer.  There is no reason to get mad at me because we are out of a sauce.

I understand that people have other stuff going on in their lives but that’s so no excuse to be rude, being polite literally takes no effort. It takes minimal energy to say please and thank you so suck it up and do it.

Being polite applies to all situations like driving, shopping, talking, visiting people, everything. There is little effort behind it, just say please and thank you. Don’t try to argue with someone unless they’re in the wrong, not if they’re out of barbeque sauce, it’s out of their control. Also, the nicer you are to someone the harder they’re going to try and help you so kindness and politeness goes far.

That’s what I have to say about that. I hope you guys had a good day, mine went from decent to me being annoyed, thankfully I have off tomorrow.

    Mary,

You’re right, being polite is important and goes a long way. There are tons of people who instead of trying to be considerate, almost seem to go out of their way to be mean. Thanks for not being one of those people and also, I hope you are having a good semester too!

In my opinion it’s harder to be mean then it is to be nice and move on. I don’t get it! Thank you!

Tell me what you want, what you really really want!
