30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 12

blog challenge day 12

Like TV shows, I also love movies. Last semester I took two film classes and they were some of the most interesting classes I’ve taken so far. The film industry is fascinating to me. I wish I knew more about films because I feel so stupid when I hear other people critique them. I’m getting better at it though and I just love a good movie.

Here’s the thing with movies though- I treat them like books. Yes, I have my favorite books but I don’t remember why they’re my favorites. I also love really stupid movies, like the Lifetime movies. No joke the first week they were on Netflix I watched nine of them. I love the cheesy, corny things in life, especially movies. I like the ones where they like evaluate a kidnapper or murderer, it makes people’s lives so interesting. It’s terrible but I could watch any Lifetime movie (besides Christmas Shoes) all day everyday and just be content with my life.

But real movies now- obviously I love every Harry Potter and I’m not going to get into that because I’ve talked about it so many times but just keep that in mind. I love Harry Potter.

My all time favorite movie is “Perks of Being a Wallflower” it’s just so beautiful and the message is kind of a cliche now but I still love it. I love Emma Watson and Logan Lerman and I think the two of them together just made a beautiful film. This is will always be one of my favorite movies. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it.

I also really like “Clueless”. It’s just very fun and light hearted. The ending is odd and SPOILER ALERT but I think it’s kind of creepy that she ends up with her step-brother. Yes, he is cute, and no, that’s not illegal but they still grow up together so for the brother/sister relationships to turn into a romantic relationship is kind of weird. However, it is just a good light hearted movie.

The last movie that I say I would like off the top of my head is “Stuck in Love” it’s just a very interesting concept and family that’s so different from my own. I like to see how other people live through movies and I think that’s a perfect example of that.

What are some of your favorite movies? Like ones that a lot of people don’t know about.

My favorite movie is Back to the Future (which I know a lot of people have heard of). I also love Who Framed Roger Rabbit! I like a lot of movies as well, so it’s kind of a long list. A movie I just recently saw that I really like is Barefoot with Evan Rachel Wood (she’s also really good in Across the Universe, another great movie!)

I’ve actually seen both of the first two! I think I might have seen Barefoot but I’m not quite sure…

My all time favourite cheesy movie is ‘Never Been Kissed’. It got everything you want from a cheesy rom-com and never fails to cheer me up! xoxo

I’ve only ever seen parts of that! I’ll have to sit down and watch the whole thing sometime soon!

Tell me what you want, what you really really want!
