Today I decided that it would be a good day to do a day in the life. Well I actually started last night but we can just pretend that was today too, okay? Anyway, I would also like to point out that this is not at all like a typical day in my life whatsoever, on a normal Saturday, if I’m not at work with some of the lovely people pictured below I’m sitting at home, maybe grabbing Starbucks with Lindsay or something super chill. Today was not so chill and was more up to my pace of life. With the exception that we were out at Walmart until like 12:30 and I woke up early for work and I’m still not drinking caffeine (which isn’t helping anything so I’m giving it until Friday) so I was awfully tired.
Okay so basically here’s the back story. The original plan of today was that my friends from elementary school who I now work with and I all wanted to change up our looks for the summer so we all put in one request off form with the excuse of “#squad, flag day” so yeah we’re going to start now.
Last night started with a little trip to Dunkin Donuts before the Walmart adventure began. I guess I should introduce these awesome people that I’ve known for quite a while. Well I’m the one in the pink taking the picture, then Katie’s behind me in the Phillies shirt, I’ve known her since kindergarten, across from her in white is Alex, who I’ve known since first grade I believe, then finally Margaret, who I’ve also known since kindergarten.
We found some shirts to wear today for flag day. I ended up getting a Captain America tank top but I took the picture, so it didn’t get picture above.
Our quick little trip to Walmart to pick up hair dye for the next day turned in a bigger shopping trip than expected and we ended up needing a cart.
On our way to breakfast, I wasn’t really into the cute face pictures at this particular moment.
We went to a local grocery store for breakfast, not iHop or anything, but half the price for decent food.
Next on the list of things to do was dye hair. I wanted to go a little bit lighter for the summer, try something new, you know?
Alex dyed her’s too.
I finished so I took a selfie, she wasn’t done yet.
There’s Katie and Margaret just being good friends while Alex and I wait the dye to set.
Lancaster county can be pretty sometimes. I took this on our way to get our nails done.
Alex and I got manicures, gel ones so that they stay longer. I have the pink nails. Margaret and Katie got pedicures, but I was not about taking pictures of feet.
You never know what you’re going to see out this way, today it was a plane in the field.
After a great day with my friends we went to my grandparents for Father’s Day, which just meant some play time with this little cutie. Since none of the other grandkids could go today I was the designated playmate today. My aunt should write a book of all the hilarious things she says.
My dad however will always be her favorite one, he had the opportunity of joining her for a tea party.
All in all I can say I had a pretty good day. I know, I know I didn’t show you my finished hair, I will eventually once I style it and everything. Let me know if you like this type of post, it’s nice taking snapshots throughout my day to have the little things as memories too. Sorry if the quality of the pictures is poor, I edited them on my phone since I don’t have photoshop or anything on my computer. I feel as if there was a final comment I felt needed to say but I am at a loss to remember.
