I would call myself an over packer, I’m afraid of forgetting something important (i.e. Chew Bunny), after watching countless packing videos, reading countless packing lists, and packing and repacking my suitcase, I’ve come to the conclusion that I am definitely overpacking. But how? I have crossed out things that I’ve planned on packing, taken things out, but I still feel like there’s so much stuff.
Right, so I’ll be gone for three months, which I feel like I should be able to pack more. No, my airline only allows one checked bag (50 lbs) for flights to Europe, it’s then like an additional $100 for overweight or an extra bag so that’s not going to happen. So I’m fitting all of my stuff in my checked bag, small carry-on, and a rather large backpack. I feel like it sounds like more than it is.
I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve packed and repacked. Also, how many blog posts can I do about packing? That should be the real question. I am saying that my checked bag is fully packed and anything else has to go into my carryons, no ifs, ands or buts. The camera stuff will be tricky. It’s so bulky, but it is very key, at least in my opinion, it’s times like these where I’m kind of glad I didn’t decide to start of with a DSLR. That’ll definitely be a purchase later on in life, but for my first nice camera, my inbetween one is great and it will definitely not take up as much space as a DSLR.
I think I’m finished now, like 99.9% finished. Once the laundry is finished I will be done, it’s just I feel like I’m missing important things. I’m sure it’ll be fine, at this point anything I need I can just get there.
I don’t know! The countdown to leave is three days! Holy cow!!!
Tell me what you want, what you really really want!
